I was walking home from school, and there was this woman walking across the road reading a book.

She nearly got hit by a car, but didn't notice because she was so engrossed in the damn thing.

As she walked past I glanced at the cover.

Fucking TWILIGHT.

UNF UNF UNF

This game looks amazing in every way.

At least wait till you've played it to judge it. Until then we only have trailers. And this trailer, even though I can't understand a word they're saying, makes me want FFXIII right
now.

I'm gonna be spending a lot of money on video games next year...

that people refuse (my stupid mother included) to acknowledge that the Stuckists have a point.

Even though they obviously do.

I don't agree with everything they say, but my god, do they have a perfectly valid point. More people should support them.

I met Charles Thompson today :>

I have another nephew! But he doesn't have a name yet. And my half brother wants to call him Daniel. Which is my brother's name. Hmm...

Also, I still love the fact that letters for my brother from the bank are addressed to "Master D.J. Shaw-Abulafia".

Landscape models, yay!

Yes yes I have done not one but TWO. Yay. I was feeling inspired.

On the inside, the water is acrylic paint. The rocks were structured from dried lumps of oil paint with brown acrylic paint splattered over it. The rest is all modelling stuff.

The outside is painted to look like the inside. I did it with oil paints. The lid slides away to show the inside.

THE SECOND ONE :3

Was an old paint pallet that was almost unusable because it resembled a mountain range. So I took advantage of that.

Today was actually, like... GOOD.

Went to school, nothing abnormal, except that I actually went instead of bunking. I had no afternoon lessons and I didn't want to go home, so I decided to go off to Oxford Street alone to go shopping and have some time to think.  My love for Primark has doubled, since I found the flat brown brogues I've wanted for aaaages in there for £8 as opposed to £20 or above everywhere else, and some awesome hareem trousers for like £7.

On my way past Topshop, I was approached by a guy who was selling a supposedly "free" modelling session. Though it was obviously a scam and that's sad (I said no), I was quite happy about that. (The model should never have to pay to do a photoshoot, even if it's a portfolio shoot)

Later when I was wandering around near a Dorothy Perkins, I was approached again, this time by a guy who was actually legit. He was from Sassoon, one of the top-end and ultra-expensive hair salons. And I was model scouted by him :3. It's a pretty sweet deal. I got a free haircut today, I get to go back to see a colourist at some point, and in a couple of weeks I get to actually model the style and do a photoshoot. Plus, if the people doing the shoot or his supervisors from Sassoon like me, there's a chance I could actually get some modelling work, which would be... amazing.

And then I got home, and I remembered that tomorrow is an inset day. For today, life is pretty damn good. Plus I have lovely new clothes.

So, like, yeah

I kind of forgot I had this thing for a while.

News, news, news... um...

Yesterday was the Moonbase 2 meetup, which was pretty awesome.

Also I'm doing my first piece of sculpture-type-thing. Like ever. It's more of a small landscape model than a sculpture. We'll see how it goes.

My English and Art coursework are both due in next friday.

But I am playing Disgaea.

So I had to drag myself out of bed at 6:30 this morning, still groggy from Expo weekend (see facebook for details, you'll see why I was tired) for this work experience thing. It was all cool, me and this guy went and measured the Tate Modern gallery spaces and then he told me to use my pass to go look at all the exhibitions for free. Awesome, since I'm like... soooo broke.

I came home and I had a horrible headache and a sore throat. So I decided that instead of going to see my boyfriend I'd curl up in bed and see if a few more hours of sleep would cure it.

I got woken up a couple hours later by the sound of my brother screaming in rage at his XBox 360 in the next room, because he's so shit at his video games that he keeps dying. There was a loud banging noise, so I guess he threw his controller into the wall or something and then more grunts and shouting. Sick of it, I got up, intending to tell him to stfu so I could sleep and not get my headache back.

And then I opened my bedroom door and a ladder fell into me. The huge metal ladder that we use to get onto the roof and that weighs a motherfucking ton. Luckily I was awake enough to grab it before it smacked me in the face. But I still flipped out because who the fuck leaves a heavy metal object leaning against a door, especially when a person is IN THAT ROOM? And I shouted at Daniel. He comes out and when I ask why there's a ladder leaning against my door he says it's so he could hoover the floor. I asked him why he didn't MOVE IT THE FUCK BACK TO THE WALL. You know, where it wouldn't hit me in the face, and all he said was "oh, okay" and then retreated to his little pit of Halo and Dragon Ball Z.

Fucking moron.

In other news, I think this headache is the beginning of the infamous Expo Flu. Grah. I've managed to avoid it the last 2 times. However, I'm pretty proud of my Jazz cosplay and how the photos came out. See my dA or facebook for photos :3

This morning as I walked to the end of my street, where it joins to the highstreet, I saw a pigeon with the handle of a plastic bag caught around its neck. I tried to approach it but it flew away (couldn't fly that far, there was stuff in the bag), landing at the foot of the tree a short way away. Then I realised that the pigeon wouldn't let me close enough to untie the bag.

But then this guy who'd been walking behind me kind of crept up to the tree, like a fucking CAT or something, and the pigeon stayed still long enough for him to free it :3

That made me feel all warm and happy inside.

Other than that, life is shit. I'm glad Expo is soon.

Also, I'm making a gun for Jazz. It's pretty fun. And I bought a huge poster tube to make a Megatron fusion cannon. It cost £1.19. As much as a night with Starscream ;D

Me and Katy might be dressing up as "scientists" for Halloween. She has secured us labcoats from somewhere. I might burn some holes in the coat with a lighter for the "Wheeljack" effect.

Okay so, today I went on this school trip thing to Borough Market. It was an art trip. We went, we drew things, everything was going great until some of my friends thought we should go and draw things at the fish stall. Generally, I hate all seafood unless it's in tiny little sushi bits, covered up by rice to the point where you can't see that it's fish.

[info]amidoh knows that I am scared of prawns ;.;

Well now it seems I have a new fear. I put up with the stacks of prawns for the sake of drawing a lovely, ugly, terrified looking dead fish. I thought the whole stall was disgusting, but hey, it was interesting to draw and it wasn't a prawn. I wasn't eating them so it was okay for a little whle and so long as I didn't have to look at the prawns.

And then, the dude behind the counter slung down three massive lobsters onto the piles of fish and prawns. I jumped, because, holy fuck those things scare me a little too. But it was fine, I kept drawing. UNTIL THE FUCKING LOBSTERS STARTED FLAILING AROUND. They were still alive, out of water, just LEFT there with their claws bound. It's like handcuffing someone and sitting them in front of their executioner with a plastic bag over their head D:

So I stopped drawing and stared at the lobster in horror. And then the man behind the counter stared at me staring at the lobster.

So now I'm scared of lobsters as well as prawns. Never take me to a seafood restaurant, ever.

But seriously, couldn't the guy have just been humane and killed the poor things instead of letting them suffer like that?

Oh, and round the corner from the dead fish and flailing lobster stall was a stall with pigs' heads and dead rabbits hung up by their feet. Lovely.

A few months ago, I wrote "FOR A GOOD TIME CALL STARSCREAM" on the back of a toilet door in the Mixer in Camden.

Went back there today.

They've been trying to wash it off.

It hasn't worked.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Starscream is victorious.

I've gained back 2lbs. No wonder I've been feeling shitty. Surprise surprise, it's since I let my parents start cooking for me again. Idiots.

That's it, I don't care what anyone says, I'm kicking this weight issue in the arse before I turn 18 or I'll never be able to forgive myself. It's been killing me for too long now.

Also, I love how my mum thinks it's okay to just open the door to my room without asking. In the morning. When I'm getting dressed. Also my lighter was on the bed and that fucker is bright orange. At least she didn't see it.

And I also love how she thinks she's the epitome of knowledge on health when she's been steadily gaining weight for the last few years.

OOOHHHHH BURN.
